Everything You Need to Know

Is nonstick cookware safe and healthy to cook with?

Yes, PTFE cookware (which is what makes nonstick cookware nonstick) is safe to cook with, but you should avoid very high temperatures, such as above 450°F. The Misen Nonstick Pan uses one of the highest grade PTFE coatings on the market and is 100% PFOA-free. For more information, check out this great article.

What’s the composition of the pan?

For the base of our nonstick cookware, we used a thick, commercial-grade aluminum construction. This thick base ensures a flat, even cooking surface for the life of your pan, and helps provide amazing heat distribution for better cooked foods. On the bottom of each piece, we bonded a stainless steel plate to ensure it's compatible with any heat source, including induction.

What are the handles made of?

Both the primary and secondary handles are made out of stainless steel, which means that they’re oven-safe.

What heat sources is the cookware compatible with?

Our nonstick cookware is compatible with all cooktops, including gas, electric, and induction.

Is the pan dishwasher safe?

While nonstick cookware is technically dishwasher safe, we don’t recommend it — for the simple reason that due to the inherent movement and rattling that happens in a dishwasher, it decreases the lifespan of your nonstick coating by speeding up the deterioration of your nonstick coating. We strongly recommend you wash all nonstick cookware by hand (which is easy, since nothing sticks to it!).

    Awesome as all of the other nonstick ware from Misen

    I purchased this as an improvement from my Analon Titanium stockpot that I have had for 20+ years. I have all 3 of the non-stick fry pans and the 3 qt. sauce pan, and have not been disappointed in any of them! My 8 inch fry pan gets almost daily use. What is most impressive is how quickly the cookware heats up and how easily they clean up when done.

    Great 8 QT pot with amazing no stick coating

    This pot is replacing a 10 year old pot that has the release coat coming off. Misen products are high quality beautiful design products. I have several of the Misen knives and a great fry pan.

    Love the new pot

    I love the design of this stockpot. Its wider than most and less deep. Works really well for steaming larger veggies, like artichokes. It also fits in my pan drawer, which is a bonus. As always the lid is fabulous with the silicone edge that makes it fit really well.

    Beautiful stockpot

    Beautifully made, and works like a charm. One cautionary note - the box itself is labelled as a 7 QT stockpot, but is actually 8 QT.
