Utility Knife

Sized between a paring and a chef’s knife, this underrated blade can do it all. It’s a solid medium-sized option appreciated by most chefs.

"Misen delivers full functionality at half the price."

"Misen is upending the way you stock your arsenal"

"deeply impressed with their quality"

"Perfectly balanced...premium materials...beautifully designed."

The Name Says it All

A utility knife is not a must-have essential, but most people who own one find themselves reaching for it often.

It’s big enough to handle all the cuts your larger knives can make, but small enough to do the nimble work of a paring knife.

Features

Premium AUS-10 Steel

The Utility Knife is made with AICHI AUS-10 steel, which offers an even better balance between lasting sharpness and durability with 2x the carbon content of some other “premium” knives.

Unique Sloped Bolster

Our unique sloped bolster pulls double duty: the sloped shape encourages a proper “pinch grip” for comfort and control, while the bolster’s placement creates better access to the full length of the blade.

15º Blade Angles

While most Western-style knives have edge angles of 25 degrees, we use more acute 15 degree angles for a noticeably sharper cutting face.

Balance and sharpness are superb

I read all the chef and caterer reviews of knives and usually buy 1 to try it out and make sure the hype is true. I read so many reviews and the price was so affordable, I bought 2 chef knives. I carved a turkey in record time. They're sharp enough to easily cut bread, tomatoes and every kind of meat. The adult kids are all getting a utility and chef knife for Christmas and I'll be looking at more for my kitchen.

Love the utility knife

Before owning this knife I had never heard of Misen, but my husband bought this for me several months ago and I absolutely love the utility knife (blue handle). Prior to this knife I either used a paring knife or a chef's knife; but this is now my go-to knife. I use it at least once a day--often for every meal. It is well balanced and the perfect size for my arthritic hands, plus it is very sharp and stays sharp; in the 6-8 months I've had it I have not yet sharpened it--only honed it a few times. I always wash it by hand and immediately dry it, then store in a safe place where it cannot be nicked. I have since bought the paring knife and like it a lot, but I LOVE the utility knife (I'm going to give them as Christmas presents to some of my favorite people).

My search for knives completed at misen

I have bought 2 knifes till date - 1 chef knife & 1 regular knife, both are super awesome & the sharpness amazed me, seriously! I am a home chef & love the sharpness, sturdiness for knives & my search got completed when I found misen. I didn't think about the price at all when I was searching a good one, but when I got it, I observed the quality of misen knives & for sure the thing you get is actually mind blowing! Kudos to the makers!

utility knife

I love the knifes. I am very particular. I have been to Germany many times and own Henkel's knifes. Time will tell if your claims of combining all the good attributes of Japanese and German knifes are true. I bought the Ash cutting board. Very nice. As a wood worker I plan on going to the shop and routing a juice channel around the board on one side.
