Terrific improvement.
This is a wonderful pan. We have used it as a Dutch oven. We have cooked stew and pasta in it. We have even sauteed chicken breasts in it. The lower sides allow you to skim the surface at a slighter angle, and more successfully than regular stock pots. Water seems to boil quicker when covered with the lid, probably because of its thick constrution. It is substantial, but lighter and easier to handle than a high-sided stock pot. We are very, very happy with it, and are giving one to our married son as a Christmas gift.
