Misen's Modular Knife Storage system is a set of simple pieces that snap together, holding your knives securely in place with the power of hidden magnets. Our system fits knives of all brands and all types, is simple to install, and can be customized to house knife collections of any size.
There are eight plastic films that can be peeled off from the bottom of the module. Start with removing two (one from each edge). Place the module on your storage surface and test by putting a knife in and pulling the knife out. The unit shouldn't move.
Depending on your surface and where you place it, you may want to remove more. (The feet use a non-permanent adhesive and are repositionable, but very sticky. Two may be all you need!)
To assemble, snap large modular pieces together at the base, and snap small modular pieces to either side of a large one. You can continue to add pieces until every one of your knives is protected!
Use the large modular pieces for blades 6 to 10 inches in length. Use small modular pieces for blades less than 6 inches in length.

The large pieces can safely fit up to an 11" knife – not that we've ever seen too many of those in most home kitchens
The small pieces can safely fit up to a 6" knife. If you have Misen knives, we recommend using this for our Paring, 5” Serrated, Utility, and Steak knives.
Unlike wood knife storage, Misen Modular Knife Storage is safe to clean with water and soap. To clean, simply run pieces under warm water and use non-abrasive soaps and sponges. Let them air dry completely before returning knives to the pieces. And make sure not to submerge in water or soak for long periods of time.
Please note: Unfortunately, the pieces are not dishwasher safe. But you can hand wash without any issues!
Misen Modular Knife Storage is made from a highly-durable thermoplastic called ABS which is free of all PFAS. It's known for its long-term durability and strength and is found in loads of common household items.
The system is made from a highly durable thermoplastic that’s totally safe for your knife blades. It’s scratch-resistant, but some wear and tear may show with time.
It's compatible with any flat, horizontal surface in your kitchen. We designed this to work in all drawers and all types of kitchen counters. (But not on the wall! We don't recommend installing it vertically.)
