The Misenware Promise

Non-Toxic. No Compromises.

1.0 mm-thick 304 stainless steel won’t chip or crack and isn’t prone to thermal shock. And it doesn’t stain or hang onto odors like plastic and silicone. Did we mention zero microplastics?

Better Believe It

Microwave It. Yes, Really.

Thin metal with sharp edges will spark; Misenware won’t. Tested safe in 1100W ovens for 5 minutes straight.

Questions?

Can I really put Misenware in the microwave?

Yes! Misenware is lab-tested and safe in 1000W microwaves for up to 10 minutes at a time, and in 1100W microwaves for up to 5 minutes at a time.

The common "no metal in the microwave" rule was never about all metal, it was about poorly designed metal with thin edges, sharp points, or right-angle corners that concentrate electromagnetic energy and cause a spark. Misenware is built with thick 304 stainless steel and rounded corners that reflect microwave energy safely. We've tested this extensively across all three container sizes at multiple wattages and durations.

NOTE: Make sure Misenware doesn't come in contact with the microwave's metal plate, rack, or interior walls which can cause sparking or burn marks. Do not microwave cutlery or foil with Misenware, as this will cause sparking.

What wattage microwave is safe to use with Misenware?

Misenware containers are safe in 1000W microwaves for up to 10 minutes at a time, and 1100W for up to 5 minutes at a time. Check the sticker inside your microwave door or your microwave's manual to confirm your oven's wattage. Do not use in 1200W microwaves or 915 MHz microwaves.

Can I microwave with the lid on?

Yes. The lid is microwave-safe at 1100W for up to 5 minutes at a time, and at 1000W for up to 10 minutes at a time. Leave the steam vent open when microwaving to release excess steam and cook efficiently. Note that the lid gets extremely hot after microwaving, so always use oven mitts or a towel when removing it, and use caution when removing lids, as steam may escape.

Can I microwave more than one container at a time?

No. Only microwave one container at a time.

Is Misenware oven-safe?

Yes. The container body is oven-safe up to 932°F/500ºC. The silicone-rimmed glass lid is oven-safe up to 400°F. For cooking above 400°F, remove the lid or leave it ajar.

Can Misenware go from the freezer straight into the oven?

The stainless steel container can go from the freezer to the oven. It passes freezer-to-oven testing at 500°F (without lid) with no warping or deformation. The lids are not freezer-to-oven safe due to the tempered glass lid.

Can I use Misenware on the grill?

Yes. The container body is grill-safe. Do not place the lid on the grill, as it is only heat-safe to 400°F and grill temperatures typically exceed that.

Is Misenware leakproof?

Yes. Yes. As long as the lid is properly sealed and the vent is fully closed, Misenware passes upside-down and sideways leak tests with water, oil, and tomato sauce at all time durations, so you can throw them in a tote without worry.

Is Misenware dishwasher-safe?

Yes. Both the container and the lid are dishwasher-safe. We recommend washing the lid in the top rack, as it is slightly gentler. Avoid detergents containing chlorine or citrus additives, which can degrade stainless steel over time.

Does stainless steel stain or absorb odors?

No. Stainless steel doesn't stain, hold onto food odors, or leach chemicals into your food, even after repeated use at high heat. This is one of its biggest advantages over plastic and silicone containers.

Note: if you use stainless steel in a very high-heat oven without food inside repeatedly, you may see surface discoloration, but this doesn't affect performance.

Why the 6-Piece Small Set Is a Kitchen Essential

The Misenware 6-Piece Small Set is built around a simple idea: one container that works everywhere food goes. Each 700 ml stainless steel container is made from 1.0 mm-thick 304 stainless steel — thick enough to be lab-tested microwave-safe up to 1100W — and doubles as an oven dish rated to 932°F, a freezer container, and a grill-safe tray. Measurements engraved on the interior walls mean you can prep and cook in the same vessel without reaching for a measuring cup.

All three containers share a single leakproof, silicone-rimmed tempered glass lid, so you won't accumulate mismatched pieces in your cabinet. They self-stack neatly inside one another when empty. If you cook for more people or want versatility across sizes, the 6-Piece Mixed Set pairs small, medium, and large containers under the same universal lid system, or step up to the 12-Piece Mixed Set for a more complete collection.

Unlike plastic or silicone, 304 stainless steel won't absorb odors, stain, or shed microplastics over time. The dishwasher-safe construction keeps cleanup minimal — just keep the lid on the top rack and avoid detergents with chlorine or citrus additives to preserve the finish.
