Is nonstick cookware safe and healthy to cook with?

Yes, PTFE cookware (which is what makes nonstick cookware nonstick) is safe to cook with, but you should avoid very high temperatures, such as above 450°F. The Misen Nonstick Pan uses one of the highest grade PTFE coatings on the market and is 100% PFOA-free.

What’s the composition of the pan?

For the base of our nonstick cookware, we used a thick, commercial-grade aluminum construction. This thick base ensures a flat, even cooking surface for the life of your pan, and helps provide amazing heat distribution for better cooked foods. On the bottom of each piece, we bonded a stainless steel plate to ensure it's compatible with any heat source, including induction.

What are the handles made of?

Both the primary and secondary handles are made out of stainless steel, which means that they’re oven-safe.

What heat sources is the cookware compatible with?

Our nonstick cookware is compatible with all cooktops, including gas, electric, and induction.

Is the pan dishwasher safe?

While nonstick cookware is technically dishwasher safe, we don’t recommend it — for the simple reason that due to the inherent movement and rattling that happens in a dishwasher, it decreases the lifespan of your nonstick coating by speeding up the deterioration of your nonstick coating. We strongly recommend you wash all nonstick cookware by hand (which is easy, since nothing sticks to it!).

    After one year Misen still perfect!

    I bought one pan from a recommendation. It quickly replaced my others, and I took advantage of a sale to acquire the set. The simple well engineered design and functionality is superb. They have stood up to every day use with ease. My glass cooktop works best with the way the Misen pans keep even heat. The nonstick surface is unmarked after a year, and still cleans up with ease. This is the best every day set of pans I have used in 45 years of home cooking! Price, quality, and performance makes them an easy choice!

    Best set I've owned!

    Swapped out my c*raway cookware for Misen and couldn't be happier! Getting tons of use out of the 10" + 12" pans and they're still as nonstick as the day I got them.
