Whoa! Fast shipment. FedEx delivered in four days, and I live in the middle of nowhere! Wait! That's a big box! Really heavy. The packing was amazing. Sturdy. Double layers. I'm keeping that box!
Out of the box now. Wow, that's a big pan! Deep, and with two lids. A full-on grill pan top, and a heavy silicone lid. Right, 2-in1! And that color, what a great blue. Matches the blue sky of my Southern Utah home.
But, I live alone! What am I going to do with this big Dutch oven? Well I have a chicken to roast. Salt, pepper, a little herb rub with butter. 350 oven. Lid on. Solid. 90 minutes later…. Browned and juicy perfection! Same day, a friend dropped off a batch of apples that need to be used up. Apple pie filling! The pan handled 12 big apples at a go. The silicone lid worked great to capture all the moisture and moved easily for the occasion stir on low even heat. Yikes, those warm apples were terrific over ice cream. So went the first 24 hours.
