Apple picking season is in full swing, and now you’ve got more apples than you know what to do with. Don’t worry - we’ve got you covered. With a few trusty tools and a super simple recipe, you can turn that haul into warm, gooey deliciousness. It’s easier than pie! Literally.
What you need:
• 4 apples
• 1 cup rolled oats
• 1/4 cup brown sugar
• 1/4 cup almonds
• 1/4 cup cranberries
• 1/4 cup melted, unsalted butter
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Baked Apples 101
1. Mix together oats, sliced almonds, dried cranberries, brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter with a Spatula.
2. Hold a Paring Knife with your fingers on the blade - the longer bolster makes that more comfy, and you’ll have more control. Use the tip of the blade to cut around the core at a 45 degree angle and pop it out.
3. Partially peel the apples using a Peeler. Our unique blade design makes this super smooth.
4. Arrange apples in a Stainless Steel Fry Pan, which can go straight from stovetop to oven.
5. Spoon the oat mixture into the hollowed cores of each apple.
6. Pour 1/2 inch of hot water into the pan to keep apples moist while baking.
7. Bake at 375°F for 35-45 minutes until the apples are tender.
8. Serve right in the pan!
PRO TIP: Set up an Apple Genius Bar with extras like dulce de leche ice cream, cinnamon, chocolate chips, etc.
