Why It’s Great

Born For Big Batches

The wide surface lets you brown in larger quantities without crowding, so you can start that braise off right.

Deep Enough For a Proper Braise

High straight sides, dual curved handles, and enough capacity to simmer a full braise or a big batch of sauce without anxiously watching the liquid level.

Let the Handles Help

Two curved helper handles make it easier to grab, lift, and pour.

Why 5-Ply?

5-ply means a pan that performs (and looks good).

Three layers of steel and two of aluminum, bonded at 3.0mm thickness for even heat. No hot spots, no warping.

Easy-Peasy Clean-sy

Throw it in the dishwasher and watch a movie.

We tested it. And tested it again. And again. Our Stainless Steel won’t warp and is virtually indestructible, so you can chill on the cleaning routine.

Questions?

Are stainless steel pans difficult to care for?

Not at all! Throw them in the dishwasher, let them soak overnight, sear on high-heat — our stainless steel cookware can take anything and truly lasts a lifetime.

Will my pans be nonstick?

Stainless Steel is not nonstick, however, there are ways to make the surface temporarily nonstick before each cooking session.
To do this, heat the pan over medium heat for 2 minutes, add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil and swirl it around the pan. When you see smoke turn off the heat. Let the pan cool down and wipe out any excess oil. Your pan is now temporarily seasoned and should remain nonstick until you wash it with soap!

Is the cookware induction compatible?

Definitely!

How do I clean stains and discoloration off of the pans?

Use Bar Keeper's Friend, (baking soda will also work!), water, and a lightly abrasive sponge.

Doesn’t every company on earth claim their stuff is better?

Yep! That’s why we tend to let our reviews do the talking. At Misen, our goal is to make great products and sell them for fair and honest prices. That’s what value means to us.

    Magnet 1

Purchased this for large pieces/quantity braising. First use was to parboil lge rack of backpork ribs followed by slow cook with barbecue sauce in the oven for braised pork for buns. All four pieces were done perfectly. Pan easy to clean. One of my first purchases for new induction range. I'll watch Misen as I look for suitable items. My only complaint is how long it took from purchase to delivery. Residence Canada

    love this pan

Works great on my induction stove top. Great for amounts a frying pan with sloped sides can't accommodate. Easy to clean. This is my 3rd Misen pan and I'm already scoping out what to add to my collection next.

Love the 6 qt SS Braiser

I love the size because I needed a bigger pan/lid to handle larger servings. We love Misen and highly recommend it. We first bought a Misen set and have added several pans since then such as the 6 qt and 4 qt pans.

    Love cooking in it

This has become a workhouse in our kitchen. We love cooking with it. And it cleans easily. It is very well build and holds a lot of food.

Why the 6‑Qt Stainless Steel Braiser Is Ideal for Big‑Batch Cooking

The 6 QT Stainless Steel Braiser is built for the kind of cooking that starts with serious browning and finishes with a covered simmer. Its wide cooking surface gives you room to sear and reduce in larger batches, while the high, straight sides help contain splatter and keep saucy dishes manageable. With a lid included, it’s designed to go from stovetop to oven to table with fewer handoffs, and it’s dishwasher safe when you’re done.

Because it’s a 5-ply stainless steel pan with a 3.0 mm thickness, this braiser is a strong pick when you want steady heat and fewer hot spots across the base. That matters for big-batch cooking where you’re browning in batches, building a fond, then deglazing and simmering without constantly chasing temperature changes. If you’re comparing materials or shapes across the lineup, you can browse more stainless steel cookware for different capacities and silhouettes.

The shape also helps with versatility: the straight sides give you depth for braising, simmering, and saucy dishes, while the wide bottom is practical for searing and browning more at once. Dual curved helper handles make it easier to lift and carry, especially when full. It’s induction compatible and oven safe up to 800°F (426°C), so you can start a recipe on the burner, then finish in the oven without switching vessels.

If you’re deciding between this and other covered, oven-ready pots, it can help to explore the broader category of dutch ovens and braisers. This 6-qt braiser leans into surface area plus side height, a combination that’s especially useful when you want more browning room than a taller pot typically provides.

For best results on stainless steel, preheat the empty pan on medium-high for 3 to 4 minutes, until a splash of water forms round balls that bounce across the surface, then add oil or butter before cooking. Cleanup is straightforward, and for stubborn stains you can use Bar Keeper’s Friend or baking soda with a soft sponge. For more specifics, see Misen’s stainless steel pan care guide.

Frequently Asked Questions About stainless steel braisers

What cooking tasks is this 6-qt braiser designed for?

It’s a wide stainless steel pan made for big batches, with a surface that’s suited to searing and browning, plus high straight sides for braising, simmering, and saucy dishes. It’s built to handle the full flow of a recipe, from stovetop cooking through covered cooking with the included lid.

Is this braiser oven safe and induction compatible?

Yes. The 6 QT Stainless Steel Braiser is induction compatible, and it’s oven safe up to 800°F (426°C). That makes it easy to start on the stovetop and finish in the oven without transferring food to another pan.

Does it include a lid, and can it go in the dishwasher?

A lid is included, which is helpful for braises, covered simmering, and reducing splatter. The braiser is also dishwasher safe for convenient cleanup after big-batch cooking.

How should I preheat stainless steel before cooking in this braiser?

Preheat the empty braiser on medium-high for 3 to 4 minutes. It’s ready when a splash of water forms round balls that bounce around the surface. For best results, add oil or butter before you start cooking.

What should I do if stainless steel develops stubborn stains?

For stubborn stains, apply Bar Keeper’s Friend or baking soda, then rub with a soft sponge or cloth. This approach is recommended for the braiser’s stainless steel surface and can help restore the pan after high-heat searing and long simmers.
