We’re also skeptical too of companies that promise the same quality as known brands at half the price. But if you don’t trust us, Google “AUS-10 Steel” and see for yourself. We spent more than over 4 years testing hundreds of knives to build the perfect one at the ideal price. Selling directly means we don’t have to pay big box stores to carry our products. By cutting them out, we can use the same materials and charge 30-50% less!
I’ve never heard of Misen before. Why should I trust you?

We don’t trust websites either. I mean, don’t all of them say their products are incredible? Even if you haven’t heard of us, we’re certainly not new. We’ve been making and selling knives for 10 years. We’re a small but passionate team of pro and home chefs based out of Brooklyn. We started Misen because we love cooking and want to share that joy with anyone and everyone who has to cook. We know good tools make a big difference, but more importantly, you shouldn’t have to pay a lot to get the good stuff. We may be kitchen gear nerds in our souls, but we’re customers who demand great value first and foremost. Give us a try. If you don’t like our knife, just send it back.
Do these knives require special care?

No! We’re pretty busy and designed a knife that actually requires very little care. Because it stays sharp for so long, you really don’t have to do much. Just avoid putting it in the dishwasher and you should be good to go. (But even if you do put it in the dishwasher by accident, don’t worry —- it won’t fall apart).
Doesn’t every company on earth claim their stuff is better?

Yep! That’s why we tend to let our reviews do the talking. At Misen, our goal is to make great products and sell them for fair and honest prices. That’s what value means to us. There are no other companies selling premium AUS-10 steel knives for $65. If you find one let us know so we can try them out.
Claiming your knife is safer sounds a little like BS to me.

Hey, that’s not even a question. But we’ll play along. It may sound counter-intuitive to say a sharp knife is safer, but most accidents happen when knives go dull. On a microscopic level, dull knife blades actually start to curve. So over time you start to apply more and more force to cut through those veggies, and before you know it, you push too hard and the knife turns right into your fingers instead of that onion. Our steel stays sharper for much longer than other knives thanks to the copious amounts of carbon. By staying sharper longer, you’re not just making it easier to cut foods. You’re being safer too.
How does your warranty and trial work?

We’re 100% confident you’ll love your Misen knife. Confident enough to give you a 60-day in-home trial. If for any reason you’re not satisfied, just send it back for a full refund. All Misen knives come with a lifetime warranty against defects. We will replace any defective knives.

    Great knives

    I sent in my set of Misen knives that I received as a gift three years ago for sharpening and received my loner Chef’s and paring knives. They were what I have come to expected from Misen - sharp high quality knives that with regular honing stay sharp for a very long time. I will be keeping the loners and passing the love along by gifting them to my daughter.

    From a loaner to a new owner!

    I suppose I expected the knives to be sharp, thought they may have some wear and tear on them. To my surprise they looked new. I wasn’t initially thinking I would keep them, however, at 1/2 price to keep them seemed prudent.

    So easy

    This was so easy and fast. Having the replacement knives was awesome and I kept them and lifted to my brother and nephew. My knife had a melted handle and I was so happy to see the note with a new knife to replace it. Highly recommend....
