Get a Grip
Misen's 10-inch serrated knife is built around a single goal: clean, confident slices through foods that tend to resist or compress under a straight edge. With 32 wide-set serrations ground from AUS-8 Japanese steel (HRC 58±2), the blade glides through crusty sourdough, layered cakes, and thick-skinned fruits without tearing or crushing. At 9.5 inches of usable blade length and a total weight of 8 oz, it's long enough to clear a wide loaf in a single stroke while remaining easy to control.
The POM handle and ergonomic sloped bolster encourage a natural grip, reducing fatigue during repetitive slicing. Like all Misen knives, it's best cared for by hand-washing and drying immediately — skip the dishwasher to protect both the edge and the handle. Misen recommends sharpening every 4–6 months, and offers a mail-in sharpening service starting at $11 per knife. If you want to round out a white-handled set, the 3.5" Paring Knife in White handles in-hand trimming and detail work with the same matched finish. All Misen knives carry a lifetime warranty against defects.
