5 PC Chef Spoon Set

At first I was apprehensive about purchasing the set as I thought I would only use the a couple of the spoons like the plating and slotted. But I have probably used the plating spoon the least and the scraper spoon the most.

One of the most useful ones has been browning ground beef or sausage. I used to hate to do that as it was so hard to get the meat chopped into small enough pieces. I even purchased one of those plastic meat choppers to use hoping it would work but it was still painful and took a lot of time to get the pieces as small as I wanted.

Combining a misen carbon nonstick and the scraper spoon makes this cooking shore a breeze. You can use the scraper spoon to chop the meat without worrying about scratching your nonstick surface. It easily cuts through larger pieces with ease and I use the plastic chopper to break into smaller pieces though I could probably just use the scraper if I did not already own the ground beef chopper.

This set has become one of my most useful kitchen tools. Only improvement would be a little longer handle on the scraper spoon to get your hand further away from the heat but that is just a very minor issue.

So far I have used three spoons from this set - for anyone who thinks a spoon is just a spoon - they should try these. The measuring spoon is a great idea, and it also makes a great deep serving spoon. I love the spoon shaped almost like a spoonula. It is perfect for getting into rounded corners of cookware and is also a great serving spoon. The spoon with the serated side is perfect for scooping out casseroles cleanly. I could go on. At first I thought the handles were not wide enough, but these spoons are so beefy the handles feel right. Will buy some as holiday gifts. You can't go wrong.
