Why It’s Great

Frying Pan Mindset. Saucepan Skills.

Wide enough to sear like a boss. Deep enough for saucy dishes, braises, and anything that needs room to bubble.

Straight Sides Save Lives (Well, Dinners)

You can trust this pan to hold all the liquid you need to poach, simmer, steam, or braise. No splatter, no stains on your counter or clothes.

Handle Stays Cool Despite the Heat

An ergonomic, stay-cool handle means you're not reaching for a towel or an oven mitt every time you need to move the pan.

Why 5-Ply?

5-ply means a pan that performs (and looks good).

Three layers of steel and two of aluminum, bonded at 3.0mm thickness for even heat. No hot spots, no warping.

Throw it in the dishwasher and watch a movie.

We tested it. And tested it again. And again. Our Stainless Steel won’t warp and is virtually indestructible, so you can chill on the cleaning routine.

Questions?

Are stainless steel pans difficult to care for?

Not at all! Throw them in the dishwasher, let them soak overnight, sear on high-heat — our stainless steel cookware can take anything and truly lasts a lifetime.

Will my pans be nonstick?

Stainless Steel is not nonstick, however, there are ways to make the surface temporarily nonstick before each cooking session.
To do this, heat the pan over medium heat for 2 minutes, add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil and swirl it around the pan. When you see smoke turn off the heat. Let the pan cool down and wipe out any excess oil. Your pan is now temporarily seasoned and should remain nonstick until you wash it with soap!

Is the cookware induction compatible?

Definitely!

How do I clean stains and discoloration off of the pans?

Use Bar Keeper's Friend, (baking soda will also work!), water, and a lightly abrasive sponge.

Doesn’t every company on earth claim their stuff is better?

Yep! That’s why we tend to let our reviews do the talking. At Misen, our goal is to make great products and sell them for fair and honest prices. That’s what value means to us.

Well designed and crafted. Perfect size for small families of couples.

A lifetime pan. Even heating, easy to clean, non-reactive to any foods. Handle is cool to the touch. Made our first dish - fish veracruz and after preheat and just a little olive oil, zero sticking of the floured fish fillets. Gonna say will be perfect size for 6 piece arroz con pollo this weekend.

This replaces my older Misen carbon steel pan (which they discontinued some time back), which unfortunately, I never grew to love.

This pan cooks really well and is heavy duty without being overly heavy to manuever.

    Never going back to non-stick!

This pan was such a game changer. The amazing sear that I can get on an arctic char or chicken, then whip up a simple pan sauce is a game changer. Huge added plus that I can just throw it in the dishwasher when I’m done! Can’t believe I’ve gone this loving without one of these

3 Qt Saute Pan Stainless Steel

Misen’s 3 QT Stainless Steel Sauté Pan is built for the moments when you need both surface area and depth: it’s wide like a skillet for solid searing contact, with straight sides that help contain simmering sauces, braises, and stovetop-to-oven finishes. The pan uses 5-ply stainless steel construction and a 3.0 mm thickness to promote even heating with fewer hot spots, plus a stay-cool ergonomic handle for more comfortable cooking.

If you’re building a cohesive lineup, this pan sits naturally alongside other pieces in Misen’s stainless steel cookware range. It’s also part of the broader family of frying pans and sautés, which is helpful if you’re comparing shapes for tasks like searing, sautéing, or sauce-forward recipes.

On the stovetop, the 5-ply build is designed for excellent heat retention, which matters when you’re browning proteins before deglazing, or when you want a steady simmer for reductions. The included lid helps with moisture control, whether you’re gently braising or keeping splatter down during a fast simmer. It’s induction compatible, so it can move between cooktops without changing your routine.

This sauté pan is oven safe up to 800°F (426°C), so you can start with a stovetop sear and finish in the oven without switching cookware. It’s also warp-resistant and dishwasher safe, which takes some of the friction out of weeknight cleanup. For day-to-day longevity, Misen provides a 60-day test drive, free returns, and a lifetime warranty against defects.

For best results with stainless steel, Misen recommends preheating the empty pan on medium-high for 3 to 4 minutes, until a splash of water forms round balls that bounce around the surface. Then cook with oil or butter. If you run into stubborn stains, Bar Keeper’s Friend or baking soda with a soft sponge or cloth can help. More tips are collected on the stainless steel pan care page.

Frequently Asked Questions About Stainless Steel Sauté Pans

What cooking techniques is this 3-quart sauté pan meant for?

It’s designed to sear, simmer, braise, and sauté. The wide cooking surface supports strong browning, while the deeper, straight sides make it easier to handle sauces and other saucy dishes without spilling as you stir or reduce.

Is this sauté pan induction compatible and oven safe?

Yes. The pan is induction compatible, and it is also oven safe up to 800°F (426°C). That makes it practical for recipes that begin on the stovetop and finish in the oven, such as a sear followed by a braise.

How should I preheat stainless steel before cooking?

Misen recommends preheating the empty pan on medium-high for 3 to 4 minutes. You’ll know it’s ready when a splash of water forms round balls that bounce around the surface. For best results, begin cooking with oil or butter.

Is it dishwasher safe, and what helps with stubborn stains?

Yes, it’s dishwasher safe. If you get stubborn stains, Misen suggests applying Bar Keeper’s Friend or baking soda, then rubbing with a soft sponge or cloth. For more detailed guidance, refer to their stainless steel care tips.
