What are the weight and dimensions of large and small pieces?

• The large pieces are 15.75" (L) x 2.25" (W) and 2.5" (H) and weigh 2lbs. They fit in all standard kitchen drawers.
• The small pieces are 6.57" (L) x 1.65" (W) x 2.08" (H) and weigh .25lbs.
What knives fit the small and large pieces?

• The large pieces can safely fit up to an 11" knife – not that we've ever seen too many of those in most home kitchens!
• The small pieces can safely fit up to a 6" knife. If you have Misen knives, we recommend using this for our Paring, 5” Serrated, Utility, and Steak knives.
How do I clean it?

Unlike wood knife storage, Misen Modular Knife Storage is safe to clean with water and soap. To clean, simply run under warm water and use non-abrasive soaps and sponges. Let them air dry completely before returning knives to the pieces. And make sure not to submerge in water or soak for long periods of time.

Please note: Unfortunately, it is not dishwasher safe. But you can hand wash without any issues!
Is the material unsafe or toxic?

Misen Modular Knife Storage is made from a highly-durable thermoplastic called ABS which is free of all PFAS. It's known for its long-term durability and strength and is found in loads of common household items.
Will the knife storage show any scratch marks?

The system is made from a highly durable thermoplastic that’s totally safe for your knife blades. It’s scratch-resistant, but some wear and tear may show with time.
What surfaces do the knife storage modules work on?

It's compatible with any flat, horizontal surface in your kitchen. We designed this to work in all drawers and all types of kitchen counters. (But not on the wall! We don't recommend installing it vertically.)

    Didn't know

    Strong magnet. Very easy access. I would have bought more if I knew they were designed for a kitchen drawer (LIMITED COUNTER). Seem a bit pricey. Would love to have a set for my other knives.

    Perfect Fit

    Replaced a butcher's block I'd had for nearly 40 years. The magnetized units make assembly easy and the magnetized slots keep the knives secure. Could not be happier.

    Great storage for Sharp Knives

    This storage system is very easy to use and is very safe versus the other types of knife storage that exist, such as magnet wall bars or magnetic counter top storage. It goes in the drawer and keeps small hand safe. It is also easy to keep clean versus butcher block storage which is difficult to clean. Each individual piece is held together by magnets and is easy to take apart and clean. It was a little move expensive than other types of knife storage but that depends on how many sharp expensive sharp knifes you have moving around in a drawer.

Why a Magnetic Modular Knife Storage Piece Improves Your Drawer

The Small Piece is built for your shorter blades—paring knives, utility knives, and steak knives up to 6 inches—so they stay off the drawer bottom where edges get dinged and dulled by contact with metal and other tools. Because it's magnetic and modular, it snaps securely to a Large Piece to build out a full system that scales as your knife collection grows, rather than locking you into one fixed block size.

Note that the Small Piece isn't meant to stand alone; pairing it with a Large Piece keeps everything anchored and stable in the drawer or on the counter. If blue isn't your kitchen's color story, the same piece comes in black and white, and the whole knife storage collection is worth browsing to plan out a configuration that fits your drawer space. The durable ABS thermoplastic hand-washes easily with mild soap—just don't soak it or run it through the dishwasher.
