Description

This nonstick version of our popular 3-Quart pan brings joy and ease to everyday cooking. With the width of a frying pan and straight sides of a saucepan, it’s perfect for sautéing, sure, but also for poaching, simmering, steaming, and braising. So, rice dishes, stews, risottos, you name it, this is the pan. Plus, it makes a mean grilled cheese. And yes, all we can think about now is a mean grilled cheese.

Why it's great

  • Quality Nonstick: We like to tell it like it is. All Nonstick pans will eventually need to be replaced. But ours lasts longer for a few reasons…
  • Thick, 4.0mm Aluminum Core: This pan will never warp. It heats quickly and evenly across every inch. 
  • Plasma Primer: We coat the surface first – like the first coat of primer you use before painting walls. Similarly, the nonstick coating goes on smoothly and stays on longer. 
  • Nonstick PFOA-Free Coating: We apply not just one, but four layers of PFOA-free, platinum-grade, nonstick coating. 
  • Textured Surface: Microscopic peaks and valleys allow for more nonstick surface area, so it's harder to wear down. 
  • Stain-Resistant Body: A double-ceramic coating makes the outside as easy to clean as the nonstick inside.
  • Heat Retention: Unlike cheaper pans, when you add cold ingredients to a Misen pan, the temperature won't drop so you get better searing, more evenly cooked food. Total time saver, too.
  • Even Heating: Those aluminum layers help the heat dissipate evenly across the surface. From edge to edge, everything cooks and browns evenly.
  • Ergonomic, Stay-Cool Handle: The Y-shaped base, hollowed-out center and hole at the tip keep the handle cool – no mitts, no burns. The rounded design is more comfy in your hand and it’s awesome looking. 
  • Universal: Safe for gas, electric, and induction stoves and ovens.

Note: You may notice other nonstick cookware is 5-ply, Not ours, and here’s why: We don’t want you to waste your money. Extra layers are what allows pans to withstand high heat, but high heat literally ruins the nonstick. So what’s good for stainless is a waste for nonstick. In other words, 5-ply just increases your cost with no upside.

Everything You Need to Know

Is nonstick cookware safe and healthy to cook with?

Yes, PTFE cookware (which is what makes nonstick cookware nonstick) is safe to cook with, but you should avoid very high temperatures, such as above 450°F. The Misen Nonstick Pan uses one of the highest grade PTFE coatings on the market and is 100% PFOA-free. For more information, check out this great article.

What’s the composition of the pan?

For the base of our nonstick cookware, we used a thick, commercial-grade aluminum construction. This thick base ensures a flat, even cooking surface for the life of your pan, and helps provide amazing heat distribution for better cooked foods. On the bottom of each piece, we bonded a stainless steel plate to ensure it's compatible with any heat source, including induction.

What are the handles made of?

Both the primary and secondary handles are made out of stainless steel, which means that they’re oven-safe.

What heat sources is the cookware compatible with?

Our nonstick cookware is compatible with all cooktops, including gas, electric, and induction.

Is the pan dishwasher safe?

While nonstick cookware is technically dishwasher safe, we don’t recommend it — for the simple reason that due to the inherent movement and rattling that happens in a dishwasher, it decreases the lifespan of your nonstick coating by speeding up the deterioration of your nonstick coating. We strongly recommend you wash all nonstick cookware by hand (which is easy, since nothing sticks to it!).

    I Use it EVERYDAY

    It's my ultimate all purpose lazy mom cookware. We recently switched to induction, and this pan just lives on the cooktop. Fast heating,, easy cleanup, and food does NOT stick, so far....The higher walls curb splatter. I've found it cooks spaghetti well, with less water. I try to baby it as much as possible. Hope it lasts a few years.

    When it fails, I'll immediately buy another. People always say "stainless is best, it lasts forever", but it's a pain to clean and keep it looking great. I don't have a minute to spare to get out the barkeeper's friend and scrub it. I love this nonstick pan and hope Misen makes more pieces. My only gripe is that it's heavy empty and heavier still when it's full of food and hard to pick up and maneuver.
