Why It’s Great

Better With Every Cook

Carbon steel develops a naturally nonstick surface the more you cook on it. One of the few kitchen tools that actually improves with use.

Expanded Cooking Surface

Extra floor space means you can sear proteins without crowding and cook more in fewer batches—with the same footprint as your other pans.

Handle Stays Cool Despite the Heat

An ergonomic, stay-cool handle means you're not reaching for a towel or an oven mitt every time you need to move the pan.

Always in Season

We did 2 rounds of seasoning, so you don’t have to.

Two layers of neutral oil baked at high heat so you can skip the break-in phase while the surface gets more nonstick with every cook.

Thin for the Win

This body was built for high heat cooking.

At only 2.0mm, our Carbon Steel cookware heats faster and sears better than virtually any other pan.

Reviews Summary
Customers say this carbon steel frying pan heats evenly, delivers excellent non-stick performance right out of the box, and cleans up easily. Many reviews highlight how the pre-seasoned finish improves with continued use, making it ideal for cooking eggs and achieving beautiful browning on meats and vegetables. Common feedback mentions the pan's durability and quality construction. Some note the weight is substantial, though this contributes to heat retention. A few mention the handle length takes up storage space, and some observe discoloration as normal seasoning develops over time.

    Excellent little pan.

It's an excellent pan, though a bit heavy for a small pan.

    What a fantastic pan

I honestly can’t praise Misen enough. The pan itself is fantastic. It heats evenly, develops a beautiful seasoning, and produces an incredible sear. It’s quickly become one of my favourite pieces of cookware.

What impressed me even more, though, was the customer service. I had an issue with my original pan, and Misen handled it brilliantly. They were professional, friendly, and incredibly responsive throughout the whole process. They listened, stood behind their product, and made everything completely hassle-free.

In a world where great customer service can be hard to find, Misen really sets the standard. It’s refreshing to buy from a company that genuinely cares about its customers and has confidence in its products.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Misen to anyone looking for high-quality carbon steel cookware backed by first-class customer support. A fantastic company with equally fantastic products.

The 10-Inch Pre-Seasoned Carbon Steel Pan With Glass Lid, Explained

The 10” Pre-Seasoned Carbon Steel Frying Pan + Glass Lid pairs a staff-favorite carbon steel pan (made for fast heating and excellent searing) with a matching glass lid for covered cooking. It arrives pre-seasoned and ready to use right out of the box, and the surface becomes more naturally nonstick over time with regular cooking and proper care.

If you want one go-to pan that handles a wide range of meals, the 10-inch size is a straightforward choice. The carbon steel construction is built for fast heating and excellent searing, and the 2.0 mm thickness helps with heat retention without excessive weight. Misen also notes a larger cooking surface than most comparable pans, which is useful when you want more contact area for browning. The stay-cool ergonomic handle is designed for comfortable stovetop cooking.

The included tempered glass lid is the real differentiator versus a pan-only setup. It is designed to lock in steam, moisture, and flavor, which helps when you are transitioning from an uncovered sear to covered cooking. Because it is glass, you can visually monitor what is happening in the pan without lifting the lid and releasing heat, which is handy for gentle simmering and reducing.

Choosing between the single 10-inch pan and the 10-inch plus 12-inch set mostly comes down to how often you want a second size available. Both options share the same pre-seasoned carbon steel approach (ready to roll out of the box, then becoming more naturally nonstick over time). The set simply adds an extra pan and lid so you can scale up cooking surface when you need it.

For compatibility and care, this pan is induction compatible and oven safe up to 500°F. It is also hand wash only. After washing, dry immediately and apply a thin layer of oil to help maintain the seasoning.
